Einstein on the Beach an Opera in four acts, the infamous collaboration between Robert Wilson, Philip Glass and Andy de Groat. First premiered at the Festival d’Avignon in the namesake city in France in 1976, the opera travelled in Europa and New York. With the beautiful drawings by Robert Wilson, the scores by Philip Glass, diagrams by ucinda Childs and texts by Richard Foreman and Vicky Alliata in English, Italian, and French.
We join: the stapled program for two Dutch stagings of the production (at Rotterdamse Schouwburg and Theater Carré in Amsterdam). With a text in Ditch by Ruud Engelander and two text by Philip Glass in English.
