Softcover in pictorial wrappers, 24 x 24 cm, unpaginated (ca. 60 pages), black and white photography. French

Small volume of about 80 photographs of the late 70s punk scene in Paris, Birmingham and London realized for Editions Baudouin by a trio of photographers ( Alain G. Bali, David Cosset and Jean-Luc Mabit) as a collective called Belle Journée en Perspective . Titled I’m a cliché on the cover, but I am a cliché on the title page. Photographers credited in the colophon only. Small introduction by Marc Villard in French and English (a translation by Philippe Mikriammos). Some photographs titled in French, some in English.  A rarity, especially outside of France.

Belle Journée En Perspective was a collective of photographers and record sleeve designers that was active from the 70 to the late 80s. Their punk photographs have been exhibited worlwide, especially in the last decade.

Ce reportage a été réalisé à Paris, Birmingham et Londres par le trois photographes de Belle Journée en Perspective: Alain G. Bali, David Cosset et Jean-Luc Mabit.

A good copy. Wrappers with some shelf wear.  Edges of the pages a bit rippled and discolored, not affecting plates.
