Scarce poster for the 1984 General Idea exhibition at Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst. This is only the second copy we’ve handled so far.

The General Idea Ghent Poodle image is based on the rampant lion from the flag of the Belgian city of Ghent.
During General Idea’s exhibition at the Museum Van Hedendaagse Kunst in 1984, the artists replaced Ghent’s civic flags with their own ‘Ghent Poodle’ flags. The poodle image was then published by the museum on various objects and ephemera to accompany the exhibition.
The poster features an image of the ‘Ghent Poodle’ along with some exhibition info. Text in Flemish.
Two small (ca. 3 cm) tears to the top, some minor creases, especially to the upper left corner. Still a very presentable copy.
