Catalogue/price list for Imexcotra, a furniture company from Aalst, Belgium. The company produced furniture in the styles popular at that time. The price is divided into categories, being chairs and sofas, tables, beds, furniture, combination furniture, kitchens, a shelf system they called Imex-Ladders which a very similar to the iconic Tomado shelves, kitchens, small furniture and lighting, Imexcotra pieces are not that common on the market and I can’t say I’ve ever seen a Imex-Ladder shelf system. The company had show rooms in Brussels, Antwerpen, Lieège ans Aalst. Price lists like these are scarce, as are catalogues. This is something we are very actively looking for, yet rarely encounter. Furniture companies are notorious for keeping very bad records and archives from Belgian furniture companies are small if at all available in institutions. Sadly the catalogue isn’t dated, but it is still interesting research material. This scarcity is reflected in the price and we are always looking for more material on 20th century design from Belgium.
Het meubel en de hedendaagse stoelen en zetels. Fabricatie hout en metaal – creatie – invoer – uitvoer.
A good copy.
