Description
J-Expo, 1958
Box (20 x 14.5 cm) and folded sheet (40 x 46 cm). Text in Dutch/French/English.
Scarce board game made for the 1958 World Exhibition, commonly referred to as Expo 58. Folded sheet with information about the game in French only. Instructions in Dutch/French and English. With game cards and j-expo currency. With three colored figures and two dice, but those can be replaced as they are generic. I had the box and spent five years looking for the missing board to actually see what the game was like. When I finally found it, it has been folded only twice, so it doesn’t actually fit in the box. I kept the game for another few years and can now state without any doubt that the game is very hard to find. I have not seen a copy for sale in the five years I spent looking, nor have I seen another box. I can’t trace any holdings in any of the institutional board game collections or really any mention of the game. A few other board had been produced for Expo 58 but those are equally scarce.
Complete with the instructions in Dutch/French and English. The winner is the player who ends the game with the most money as per the instructions, such is life.
Label on the box with some stains and wear, else very good. If you need additional pictures or information, don’t hesitate to inquire.
