Visual Editions, 2010
Paperback, 22 x 14 cm, 139 pages. English.
Somewhat of a staple in contemporary book design, a surprise in disguise. A first edition, that doesn’t look like all the much, but opens up to a bright and clean copy.
A good copy with discoloration to the wrappers and some blemishes and creasing. A straight spine that sits straight, with no discernible reading traces. Insides bright and clea.
Publisher’s note: In order to write Tree of Codes, the author took an English language edition of Bruno Schulz’s The Street of Crocodiles and cut into its pages, carving out a new story. Copyright design Visual editions and Sara De Bondt. Die-cut pages design by Sara De Bondt Studio. Design assistance by Nina Klein. Cover and title pages design gray318.
