Description

Gent, Imschoot, 2004
Softcover, 21 x 15 cm, unpaginated.

Point Blank by South African artist Kendell Geers is the residue of a performative action. A book with literal residue from being shot seven times trough the front. The blank pages are completely torn and mostly stuck together. This copy with the title almost completely torn off, with just the artists name left on the front cover. The original cellophane bag with gunpowder smell missing. A particularly violent example of this edition.

Published in an edition of 1030 copies, 30 of those signed and numbered. Not as common as the limitation would suggest.

What can be said about a book that has been shot in terms of condition?
