Scarce bibliophile publication of Les colchiques by Guillaume Appolinaire. Published in an edition of just 15 copies by “La Perle Fine” in Antwerp. Named after the white marble sculpture by Oscar Jespers. We can’t trace any other titles by the same publisher. G.C. De Batist doens’t ring any bells, but Joris Minne made a woodcut title Faire-part de mariage de J.-A. Van Casteren et G.-C. Batist.
De cet ouvrage ont été tirés XV exemplaires sur Papier Breughel et imprimés par G.C. De Batist à Anvers au mois de juillet de l’an 1943. Ces exemplaires sont numérotes de 1 a XV et signés par l’illustrateur. Ceci est le numéro 14.
Spine with tears along the entire spine. Small loss to the cover, a few white spots to the cover.
